 Quirky pair Russell Brand and Katy Perry married at a luxury resort outside the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The couple’s six-day celebration included a Hindu wedding ceremony, elephants, drum players and the pair staying in a luxury tent at the Aman-i-Khas resort.

 Jamie Oliver married his school sweetheart, Jools, at a church service in his home county of Essex. The pair had been dating for ten years before they tied the knot, and have since had four children.

When Tom Parker Bowles married Sarah Buys it wasn’t quite a Royal Wedding but it was very close. Guests in attendance included Tom’s step-father Prince Charles, Sir Mick Jagger and Hugh Grant, and the reception took place at Sara’s parents’ country estate.

Michael Bublé’s wedding can only be described as eventful. His Argentinean bride, Luisana Lopilato, wore three dresses and the star sang “Haven’t Met You Yet”, which he wrote just for her, at the reception. But, unfortunately, while all this was going on, thieves disabled the alarm at their home nearby and burgled the newly-weds

Unfortunately, the marriage didn't last and the pair separated three times before finally divorcing in 2005.

For Kate Winslet’s first marriage to Jamie Threapleton, the actress wore a white Alexander McQueen dress decorated with white and yellow roses. The ceremony was officiated by the same vicar who baptised the actress as a child, and afterwards guests were treated to bangers and mash at the bride’s favourite pub, The Crooked Billet.

 

Lord of the Rings star Liv Tyler commissioned Alexander McQueen to make the gown for her wedding to British rocker Royston Langdon. Though the couple had already said their vows on Barbados, they held a reception at New York’s Pastis restaurant and packed it full of rock and roll royalty, including Steve Tyler, Todd Rundgren, David Bowie, Iman, Kate Hudson and her then-husband Chris Robinson.

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise had the celebrity wedding of 2006. The bride’s Armani gown featured an ivory silk train draped with Valenciennes lace and Swarovski beaded crystal embroidery

We were shocked when Renée Zellweger married country star Kenny Chesney in a beach ceremony in 2005, but her choice of designer for her strapless, satin gown was no surprise – Carolina Herrera. Sadly the marriage wasn't meant to be and Renée had it annulled a few months later.

After an intimate wedding in Santa Monica, California, Gisele and Tom Brady treated guests to a second ceremony in Costa Rica. The bride wore an ivory, strapless gown before changing into jeans and a sweatsuit to really let her long, flowing locks down.
